A few lessons learnt from this trip:-
- Mountain climbing is not meant for people with short legs (inspired by Joyce)
- Persistance and determination are the necessary ingredients for success (inspired
by Qin & Ping) - One should never overestimate one's abilities (inspired by Lynn)
- Always respect your body!
Though this was the most torturing trip we ever had, it strengthened our friendship even more.
We decided that, one day, we would travel the world together, with a backpack
The 1st dreamtraveller destination was a graduation trip for Joyce, Lynn, Viv and myself – a 6-day trip to Hong Kong/Macau in 2007.
The 2nd destination was Taiwan. In 16-days, Lynn, Viv and myself covered Taiwan from Taipei all the way till Taichung. We vowed to return to cover the rest of the southern Taiwan.

And now, we have conquered our 3rd destination – Mount Kinabalu!

I do not have the pricing for the individual activities as we booked as a package.
The cost of our whole trip, with accomodation, climb and activities, excluding the air tickets is about S$500/pax.

enjoyed the review of your trip.. s$500/pax for the entire itinerary sounds really good.. i was quoted s$500+/pax just for a 3d2n mt kk package (w/o island hopping & rafting).. maybe the price had gone up..
btw you guys stayed @ the laban rata resthouse itself right? not one of their non heated huts?

It was quite a good deal, maybe cos we got it during a fair..:)
Yup, we stayed at the Laban Rata. The restaurant is in Laban Rata itself. So if you stay in one of the non-heated huts, you will have to walk over for the meals. Slight inconvenience there.. :)
